P3 Brake controller

I bit the bullet and purchased and installed the P3 in my TV. Part of the package was a storage pouch for the P3. So the question is: should I be disconnecting the P3 and storing it when not in use, or is it OK to leave it mounted and attached?

To soon to say much, it installed easy and I think the diagnostic stuff looks neat. Will it actually perform any better than the $50 one I have in the F150? Only time will tell.

I use the earlier generation Prodigy and I leave mine attached to the TV all the time.

I haven't taken mine out other than to switch it to another vehicle.
The screen will light up everytime you start your vehicle or press the brake pedal, but the screen goes dark after a few minutes of non-use so it won't run down your battery.

Happy so far, but only towed with it a couple of times.

My controller does not see the storage pouch until the dead of our intolerable Alabama winters when my Airstream is hibernating waiting for our first Spring-time adventure.

Thanks guys. I thought it was OK, but I didn't want to roll the dice on it given the cost.
