New Axles

I own a 1974 31 ft Airstream Sovereign. I have a 1974 Owners Manual. The manual states the rig is outfitted with a Kelsey-Hayes Electric Brake System. The drum is 12" and the shoes are 2". I'm looking at replacing the Axle/Wheel/Brake Assmblies. Can anyone give me some insight on a few sources for complete axle/wheel/brake assmblies? Thanks in advance.

And this and the other places aren't the only places. You have many more choices than you might be lead to believe.

Welcome to the forums DeltaBlues11. You have asked about one of the most heated topics here on the forums. I have done some shopping and I put everything in my very own axle thread.

Some places near you are

AL-KO Kober - U.S. Locations

Dexter Axle - Trailer Axles and Running Gear Components - FIND A DISTRIBUTOR

Good luck!

MOre than likely the axles are shot. If you look at some of the axle threads and see the pic's where the edge of the wheel wells are below the edge of the rims on the tires YOU are BETTER OFF Replacing the WHOLE axle and get the new brakes and drums. I did I DONT REGRET IT.
