LED behavior on Curt Spectrum Brake controller

Just had one of these installed. During normal driving conditions; what color LEDs should light up when I apply the brakes?

Should more LEDs appear as I exert more stopping pressure to the brakes?

Right now I only see one red LED light up no matter how much I use the brakes.

Yes. In my case the solution was that when the dealer stuck the control knob on it was rotated such that my vision of the lights was blocked by the knob. What I was seeing was in fact the third red light when I hit the brakes.

According to the support tech at Curt; the number of red lights should increase as more brake power is asserted. The actual number of red lights that appear depends on how you have tuned the controller.

Thanks for the info, I guess my issue is a little different. I have a single red light as soon as the trailer is connected, that does not change regardless of whether I press the brakes.

I worked with Brad in Tech Support at Curt. He was very helpful. Hope that you are able to get it sorted out soon.

It turned out the issue was my vehicle doesnt recognize the controller as it doesnt draw enough power on the brake circuit line. Introduction of some resistance solved my problem

I have the same issue! How did you add "resistance"?
