My husband is under the camper..
Installing the new axles and brakes

He just noticed inside the brake drums:

Two say: Left Hand
Two say: Right Hand

Any special meaning?

The backing plates which attach to the axles are side sensitive. Is this where the LH and RH are stamped?

The backing plates which hold the brakes shoes/magnets/ etc. are different on each side of the trailer. The drums themselves are interchangeable left - to - right.

Do not mix sides.

Yes, the markings are on the backing plates.
Now what?
Which side of camper is L and R? Or is that not part of the equation ??
I think he needs more explanation.
(I know he does)
Thanks
Jane.
Sure wish directions came with this project.

I believe the left side is the street side, the right side is the curb side.
Anyone else want to chime in?

We ARE the directions.

The backing plates marked RH go on the right side of the trailer, curb side, door side, passenger side...whatever you want to call it. That means the others have to go on the driver's side.

Dear All Mr. Directions,
Thank you very much.
The good new:
That is what he had but then started second guessing when he got to the Passenger Side drums...
Just for future reference, when you come down to New Orleans during Mardi Gras and go to the parades
It's:
Neutral Ground (drivers side)
Curb side (passenger side)
We do things just a little different down here!

Now for the bad news:
I was just putting dye in my hair when all this excitement happened in the backyard!...
Timing is everything and I mean everything..
Wonder what color I will be this time?
haha

Thanks again..
Jane
