Wadestearns,

I suspect pretty much any trailer part supplier would work. Try eTrailer.com online, or "InlandRV" in Corona area. Or the local Airstream dealers.

Remember Google is your friend...

You are totally correct

Why can I find the parts that are needed online shipped via my preference.

I am in the most populated area of the US with over 5 Airstream dealers in the area. They said they could not find any of the break parts that I needed. I have a 2013????

This is a bad mark for Airstream service. I do not like it.

I wouldnít throw Airstream under the bus on this. These are common parts not proprietary to Airstream. With the strength of the online economy many brick and mortar businesses simply do not stock much inventory. Iíve had great success with etrailer .

Airstream is not responsible for their dealers not having the parts. That said, the Dexter website shows about 6 Dexter dealers in the LA area. A bit of time on the telephone might find the parts near you. Those dealers should also be able to order the parts.

I had great success with a major wheel and break failure on the road with (and dont laugh) Redneck Trailer Supply. They have 20 US locations and will sell you the entire assemblies cheaper than the individual parts. Here is the one in LA area 11171 Venture Dr, Mira Loma, CA 91752

If this is an attempt to place an order, it's not how the internet works.

I was told by Airstream service that they were unable to locate these parts anywhere and it would take 2 weeks.

As you all indicted they are readily available all over the place. Not sure why one of the largest Airstream dealers in the country cannot find the parts.

I am at an Airstream dealer. They should know how to get the parts need better than I. Not the case. Once they provided me with the part numbers I can find them easily. Why canít Airstream service do that instead of stranding me for two weeks. Iím not in the middle of the desert. Iím in Los Angeles.

Airstream dealer probably does not have stock of brake parts. Iíd also bet you can find those parts a bunch cheaper than trying to buy them from Airstream.

Dealer competence varies wildly. Thatís why I do my own work if at all possible. Iím sure Iím not the only one with that attitude on these forums.

All else fails, order the parts online, and have someone install them for you if you donít have the tools or experience to deal with the repairs yourself. Itís how the world works at times...

Not really an Airstream factory issue. Blame the dealer.

Do you really not understand the difference between wholesale and retail?
