Jammer and dznfog, thanks for relly helpful and constructive comments. I appreciate it greatly.

I havent gotten into the brakes yet, it will be two weeks before I pull the wheels and drums to see what I have.

The balancing act seems for us another solution looking for a problem. Maybe, like Jammer says, our trailer's running gear is a little more balanced than older rigs. Don't know, but we don't know of any problem we can attribute to vibration or unbalanced running gear.

On the other hand, we KNOW certain sections of rough road have emptied the closet rod in one or the other of the wardrobes. Just now and then. But if we had sixteen inch rims and centramatics and a pro-pride and disc brakes and bamboo flooring, we wouldn't have this problem. Just kidding
