Brakes Quit Working - Argosy

I have a 1976 Argosy 26' trailer. The brakes worked fine until recently. the only thing I can think of that is different is that I had to remove my dash boards where my Teconsha 01-08 was mounted. I checked all the fuses and wires and they are all connected properly. The green indicator light does not come on when I attach trailer to my tow vehicle. I need to move today. Does anyone have any ideas about what is wrong? I checked the wiring on the connectors and trailer and all are working and attached properly.

On my Prodigy controller I had a problem with corrosion on the connector at the controller. I pulled it out, cleaned it up and things went back to normal.

Thank you but I have checked and cleaned all connectors on my tow vehicle. I am wondering how to check my trailer brakes?

It is wired properly. I have checked all the wires and fuses on tv and have power to connector. Could it still be my controller? How do I check it? I do not have a breakaway switch

Have you read through this thread...

Good Morning Susans69,

The short answer is to read through this thread - http://www.airforums.com/forums/f439...kes-99357.html

It gave me insight into what to do, should brake problems arise.

Good Luck,
Chris

After checking every other thing possible it turns out the problem was the controller. Of course it has a five year warranty and it is five years and 2 months old.

Bummer...

I wonder if the vendor that sold you the unit, might do something for you?

Unfortunately, the company was supposed to be good but he was a scam artist. I have purchased a different brand with a lifetime warranty this time.
