Cool Brake springs.

Just pulled my 1971 27' Int. about 5000 miles. Before I left I lubricated the bearings but noticed that the brake springs were rusty. Brakes worked fine all the way. Shoes ,magnets, drums OK. Where to get the springs??? Any suggeations??

Brake springs

Rust on springs would not necessarily be a reason to replace the springs.

For 12X2 brakes - Springs available that I know of:

Dexter part # K71-363-00 ($2.58 Phoenix) each wheel for return and hold down

NAPA return springs 89141 ($6.39 Phoenix)
Napa hold down springs 89135 ($5.77 Phoenix)

Thumbs up Brake Springs

Thanks Action , I took notice of the part number. I don't think the trailer was towed much. I have the history of the trailer in old receipts, etc. I was surprised that the brakes were in such good shape. Bought the trailer sight unseen!!
