brake away switch wiring?
My one month old 74 argosy 28' came with the brake away switch disconnected. Is this a normally open switch that closes when pulled? If so, am I right to assume that it is wired from the camper battery, to the switch to the positive side of the brakes?
Correct.
The wire is not really run all the way to the magnets. It is connected to the wire that normally energizes the brake from your TV. That wire runs to the brake magnets.

tiger one wire from the breakaway switch is connected to the yellow wire on the 7 pin connecter and the other wire is connected to the blue charge line from the battery and TV. That way if the trailer seperates from the TV the beakaway switch pin is pulled and completes the circuit from the battery to your trailer brakes and the brakes are applied.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.
