Brake adjustment

Anyone out there ever adjust the brakes on their AS. I have a 2004 Bambi with a Prodigy controller. The trailer brakes are not doing much when I use tha manual control on the Prodigy. I tried to adjust the brake shoes with a screw driver but could not rachet the mechanism located on the inside of the brake drum. Have about 3000 miles on the trailer. I was wondering if I turned up the power outout on the prodigy if that would help. Also it looks like I will need a special tool to adjust the shoes as indicated in the manual.

I have a 2004 B with Prodigy. I'd sure think you should boost the setting on the controller first, per the directions. To set the brakes, I have read others say to (of course, after jacking it up, removing the wheel, and removing the rubber plug) to ratchet the turn wheel to where resistance is felt when spinning the hub, then back it off 5 clicks. I backed mine off less than this, and it seems fine. My manual is not much help on this, so I'd certainly recommend calling AS and trying to get an answer out of them on the matter. Good luck. And please notice I got through this response w/o any smiley things. Enough, for Gods sake.
