Question '72 Trade Wind Pigtail Schematic

I need a schematic for the tow vehicle to trailer pigtail. I need to make an adapter from the newer (and less reliable) 7 pin style to the original 6 round pin style. My trailer is 300 miles from here, otherwise I would just use it as a test model!

Thanks,
Les

Oops, trailer has 7 pin round (signal stat).

Thanks,

just did this for my 73. there is a pdf file on airstream's web site with a diagram for the plug. Go to www.airstream.com, and check the "faq" page.

What I found when I disassembled mine was that it did not match the diagram....so somebody probably changed something at some point. either that, or the diagram is wrong. Anyway, I'd double check with a meter to 'really' see what goes where on the trailer. interesting thing was that the colors on the wires corresponded to what the diagram said they should be; they just weren't "where" the diagram said they should be.

Chuck,
Thanks, the diagram is how mine is wired! Mine even had the color code on the inside, bottom of the plug. I just needed to know what function each color did so I could wire the new plug. Again thanks a million.
