67 soverign brakes

hello everyone,
on our last trip(last fall)i noticed my brakes were weak and making a "clanking" sound.does anyone have a link to rebuild kits for a 1967 model year, i plan on redoing all four.when i bought camper my brother in law checked them (he's a brake and tire man) and told me i had only another season of life in them.i live in eastern ga. and havent found brakes for camper around here.( i know brake controller is wired correct,automotive electrical is what i do!)thanks in advance , Gary

I would buy complete new backing plates, with shoes and magnets and all.
Your drums houls be ok, by do have them checked for scoring on both the braking surface as well as the surface that the magnet glides on.
Your brake size should be 12x2

You can buy them thru several wholesalers. You have a choise of Dexter or kelsey Hayes. either is ok. Should not be over $35 per backing plate plus shipping. Remember to check your bearings and repack them while you are at it.

Many auto parts stores can get them also , not the autozone type , the kind that mechanics go to . Try a Napa or the like . Good luck
