I'm sure this answer is somewhere on this forum, but after searching for quite some time I finally gave up and decided to ask. I had one of my brakes fail on my 2010 Flying Cloud 30 (actually had to cut the wires to that brake assembly to clear the error on my controller and make it home). I need to replace that brake. I did some quick measuring and observation and it appears to be a 12" Dexter brake assembly. I think it is this part:
12" Nev-R-Adjust Electric Brake Assembly for 6K Axles - RH Dexter Trailer Brakes 23-459
Can anyone confirm this is the correct brake assembly before I order it. Also, should I plan on replacing the drum (and maybe even bearings) at the same time or just take it apart and see what the condition of the drum is? We bought the trailer used this spring and I really do not know how many miles are on the brakes. I have bought boat trailer parts from etrailer.com in the past with good success, but is there a better place that anyone has found to order from? Thanks in advance for any help or advice on this.
