2010 flying cloud 20' self adjusting brakes

I just had my trailer serviced and the self adjusting brakes were worn so unevenly that the shop replaced the brakes with non-adjusting brakes. Does that seem reasonable. They said they've seen this uneven wearing before. Any comments?
