I recently ordered a 2010 Ford F-250 (gas) and specified no ITBC, with the intention of installing an after market TBC known to work with the ActiBrake system (30' 2006 Classic). The truck arrived with the Ford ITBC installed. I am going to try the Ford ITBC on the trailer, and if it works, then I have no problem. However, if the ITBC does not work, then it appears that I am either going to have to remove (disable?) the ITBC and install an after market TBC or find a hydraulic unit that is known to work with the Ford ITBC. I favor keeping the ITBC. Is there anyone on the forum that can advise me on currently available hydraulic units that are known to work with the 2010 Ford ITBC?
I was cruising around the Ford forums and came across many threads on this issue. Here is a link and maybe one of these guys could steer you in the right direction. They have been helpful to me many times..
