1972 Safari break wiring

Does the 72 Safari have a 7 or 9 pin connector, and are the prongs round or flat. I am thinking of purchasing a 72 Safari and I would like to have the correct recepticale on my truck.

Thanks
Steve

Here is the diagram for your trailer.

The plug used round pins, but todays trucks all use the flat pins. The cable on my trailer has round pins on the trailer side and flat pins on the truck side and the wires have been moved to match todays standards for the truck side as well. This gives you the ability to hook up to any modern day truck with no problem.
