All Argosy trailers back then had 10 inch brakes, except the 20 models which had 12 inch brakes. The 1974 parts book spells that out.
In 1977 both sizes were used.
You don't need to pull anything off.
The easiest way to tell is look at how many bolts hold the backing plates (brakes) on, from the backside of the wheel.
If the flange is square, it then has 4 bolts, which mean 10 inch brakes.
If the flange is round, it then has 5 bolts, which mean 12 inch brakes.
