Where can I buy a spare tire cover with the Airstream name/logo?

I'm looking for a spare tire cover for my '72 Overlander. Does anyone know where I can purchase one with the Airstream name or logo on it? Thanks.

Did you try Jackson Center? Phone the plant, and get ahold of the receptionist. She will tell you if it's something they carry in the Wally Byam store there...

I doubt you will find anything from Airstream that was made for the setup you have. The spare tire setup on your trailer would have been under the front section of the trailer and out of sight.

I suspect that your question regarding a spare tire cover indicates that you likely have a rear bumper mounted spare tire. If this is the case, you should consider the potential issues that this may cause. The leveraged weight of a rear bumper mounted spare tire has been identified contributor to rear end separation, particularly with the longer coaches. My '64 Overlander had a rear bumper mounted spare tire carrier that was added aftermarket by a Brand X dealer - - it contributed to a very bad case of rear end separation on my coach that created a $3,000 repair bill over 10 years ago.

Currently, I carry my spare in the trunk of the tow vehicle, but intend to mount it on the tongue as was done before Airstream went to the front below floor location for the spare tire.

Good luck with your Overlander!

Kevin

Wow. I had no idea that the rear bumper mount was not original. I have the manual and will look to see if i can store it where it was supposed to go.

Thanks again for the info.
