The LTX are passenger car tires but work very well. They are not ST or LT tires. Peace, jim

It is actually 50 psi according to the sidewall. Just last week I put some of these on a family members 25' AS Safari. The trailer tows nicely at interstate speed!

The minimum rim size for the Michelin LTX M/S2 235/75R15 XL 108T is 6" to max rim width of 8". These will fit the rim you purchased.

You've already found one that doesn't work and I assure you, there are many more.
So totally ignore what they said and go with what the tire manufacturer tells you - So, Yes!, that Michelin P235/75R15 will fit on a 15X6 wheel.

Not exactly. The load table says the maximum load occurs at 41 psi, but Michelin is telling you the maximum inflation pressure is 50 psi. Some slight wording differences that changes the meaning.
As I said, there are some errors on Michelin's page.

Just perusing the forums and came across this thread... thought I'd pipe-up..
I once bought tires and took them to have them mounted. The problem which developed was the (Firestones) developed sidewall cracking and in order to get them warranted... I had to pay again to have them removed, shipped, and new ones acquired and mounted.
Moral of the story: Don't take your eggs to the restaurant to have them fried.

We used the Michelins on our 25' Classic, and loved them. I'm not certain where the 41 psi inflation came from, but I always aired mine to 50 psi and checked the tire's temps with an infra red heat sensor gun and they always ran cooler than my truck tires.

3/2/15 I did a post on my blog just on the Michelin LTX and the confusion caused when Michelin intentionally / unintentionally selected a tire name with "LT" in it and included P type and LT type in the size line-up.
The confusion is compounded when people don't include all the information that I consider part of the size description. That being the preceding type letter i.e P or LT or ST and they also do not include the Load Range info stated on the sidewall. i.e. blank = Standard Load or LR-B
XL for Extra load on a P type tire or LR-C or LR-D etc for LT type tires.
It also appears that Michelin recently changed their web page as in the past there were over 40 different LTX tires. Some were Passenger and some were LT
If you go to TireRack and click on sizes you can see they have many

This tire should be inflated to the maximum rating as shown on the sidewall.....50 p.s.i. for use on your trailer.
