I think TST has some. We have made so many mods to the new AS we settled for the 507. We put Centramatics balancers on the wheels so will hold off on metal stems for a while.

Cost of metal stems, install and rebalance with sensors attached was less than $30. Theft? I have never heard of this happening. Anyone?

Yes we have the Dill Trailer TPMS and it works well like the factory sensors on most cars. FYI We use the included antenna extension to place the antenna near the rear of the TV. We tow a 25E.

I set up my TST 507 for the 4 TT tires and the monitor still shows the right front TV tire. Is that normal?

I doubt it. On my TST System....the Rep set up the 4 TT wheels as RF RR LF LR and I added a sensor for the spare tire which was positioned to show up as point on the tow vehicle. So I have a small box with one sensor showing up and a larger box behind it with 4 displays showing up. Info alternates from one location to the next and keeps rotating as you go down the road. Pm sent.

I did the exact same thing and it took me a while to figure out how to delete the front tire. You can either go into program mode and enter all ffffff"s manually or you can figure out which code is a duplicate by resetting all the sensors and it will erase it

How do you reset all the sensors?

I just put the sensors under the head unit like you set them the first time. Put them in a different order and they will be relearned. It took me a long time to figure out how to erase the right front wheel. I assume I started programming when that wheel was flashing.

This is normal. It is used to test the monitors at the factor. If you want to delete this, follow the instructions below.


Press and hold the Code button
Use the + button to move to the tire to be deleted
Press and hold the Set button till it beeps
This should delete the unwanted tire

Press and Hold the "CODE" button until it beeps.
USE THE + and - keys to move to the position that you want to delete.

Press and hold set until it beeps and that position will return to all FFF's

Pretty happy with my TST 507s.

I put them on the wheels, retrofitted with metal stems. They come online relatively quickly (5 +\- 1 min) on all four wheels.

One question ya'll might know: on a typical day, three of my sensors will show one reading (say 55 psi) but one will persistently show 2-3 psi lower (say 52 psi). I've confirmed it is the sensor, not the tire, by moving it to another tire.

Do you guys see this as normal variation? Looking at the Truck Systems web sight, it seems I recall the sensor accuracy being somewhat less than that variation.

Your thoughts?

Yup, that is the instruction that I got when I called TST. They test the unit at the factory by setting up the off-driver side tire. We have two trips with the TST and love it. When I said we have an AS they shipped our unit with the antenna extension but we have not needed it.

Just bought and installed these sensors after visiting Alumapalooza and meeting with a rep. I called the company and Debbie was so kind to walk me through the process of setting up the system - with her help it was a piece of cake. This weekend will be the first weekend out with new tires and the new sensors.

The manual says plus 20 % and minus 10%. Is that what very one is using for the Marathon 14" tires?

The TST sensors come with an allen screw serving as a lock for the stem. You use an allen wrench (provided) to tighten it. Unless someone has the same TST system and the allen wrench, why would anyone steal a sensor?

A 2 psi variation in the readings can be caused by sun on one tire, some variation in the tire making it run a little hotter or cooler, or slop in the sensor or monitor design. A 3 psi variation in hand held pressure gauges is pretty common (the kind with a metal thing that slides out under pressure is probably even less accurate). If you have 80 psi (LR E tire filled to capacity) 2 lbs is 2.5%, not bad for anything reading pressure that isn't too expensive. For a LR D tire at capacity (65 psi), 2 lbs. is 3%.

So far, after a bit more than a year, our TST system is working fine and seems to work better than the TPMS systems we have had before.
