TowMaster range E trailer tire

TowMaster is made by Goodyear, according to other threads. My 91 AS wheels are rated for 90psi, this tire at max capacity requires 80PSI.

Any advice on the TowMaster range E in 15"

ST225/75R15 Towmaster Trailer Tire Load Range E (S-GBTD15225E)

We have them on our trailer. We only have them inflated to 55lb over 3000 miles on the with no issues. We previously has tow master bias ply tires and these ride much better.

Thanks for the info. I've read other older posts on these tires and there is not a consistent answer. I'd be lucky to put 3K miles on per year so age will get them before wear. With 6 tires on my AS I have about 12K capacity with range D tires but like others searching for the best tire, I am willing to spend a little more if the safety and performance is there.

Tires and Axles seemed to be the hottest debates at times and it is hard to glean a good answer from the threads. We have been very happy with the towmaster radials, we have another friend of ours who has them on his SquareStream and he indicated to me that he was happy with them. He too had the Towmaster bias plys and switched to the radials that you are considering.

I think these tires are sold by AS, I have them on my AS and they seem to be more robust. zz

My 'E' rated TT tires

While visiting the AS factory last Spring for Alumapalooza, I had some work completed on the 25' Classic and one of the items was tire replacement. The new 'E' rated tire was recommended and installed. I run 60lbs of air in them and have 3,000 miles on the set with no problems.

Thanks- sounds like a reasonable solution to switching to 16" to get an range E tire. I agree with those that belive an ST tire is best on an AS trailer. Three axles, six tires is a lot of torque to deal with on sharp turns and that is what will keep me in the ST camp.

Dover,

Am I understanding correctly, did you just have the factory install 15" Towmaster ST radials "E" rated for your 25' Safari?

Thanks so much.

Deb

Towmaster Tires

Yes, except it's a Classic. As I understand it the rims must be of a certain type and strength for them to install them. The tires are doing fine
