King Tires

Uh oh, grandson (Kingston) found the stack... Guess I better get them on the trailer before they all end up swinging from trees...

Will upsize affect torque???

Depending on the lug pattern of the drums, you will need to have 5 or 6 lug wheels, to match the drums.

The tire size then can be 205/ 15 load range "C".

I am in the midst of doing the same thing, upsizing from 14" to 15" and this thought came to mind today.....
Will the switch affect the torque value of the wheel?

Thanks.

Tires...Tires...Tires

You will enjoy not worrying about the tires.
I speak from personal experience.

Tires

Tires. tires, tires.......I am tired of these endless threads about tires. One guys says the only tires are "X' the other guy says they are "y". Decide what you want, buy them and drive them and enjoy. Don't go freaking ballistic about what size or manufacturer of tire that you use. If we believed everything we read here we would never take our AS out of the driveway!!! Mine are Michelin Xl's, some people say I will never make it to Florida with those tires.....their opinion. Enjoy your AS. Late night rant.

Step 2

Rims showed up tonight. Tires got here last week. (see earlier post "Step 1") Come on Centramatics...hurry, hurry

Tredit wheels 16X6 model TR4. Gotta tell you, I think the wheels look great but the Texas office of Tredit Tires is not someone I would ever recommend to anyone. My "buying experience" was pretty poor.

Will get them mounted and balanced tomorrow. Hoping the Centramatics are here before the weekend. Time to dress Bud up and take a trip!

Time to lightly wire brush, degrease and paint the wheelwells with some KRYLON Fusion in semi-gloss black, too, eh? Set off those new rims & tires. (This works on the SS trailers quite well.)

If you are running drum brakes you could paint them with hi-temp paint to show through the holes in the wheels.

Mounted but...

All-righty, got them all mounted and back home and now a front is hitting, so Sunny Skye had me harvest our grapefruit orchard (well, full disclosure...our orchard is 1 tree)

so...no tire pics but if you want some grapefruit and happen to be in Corpus Christi...come on by.

As I knew it would be. That's a good look to the TT. What's the TT height change?

As to grapefruit. As you know, Chuck, there is grapefruit and there is grapefruit. A friend of mine with a shop here is still trying to find the tree -- years later -- off of which he had a "fantastic grapefruit". But can't remember who he got it from, ha! I've had to swear to help him cut a grafting, or, worse, dig the whole thing at midnight. I'm afraid he'll remember, give me a couple, and I'll agree again.

In Les Schwab the other day getting the battery replaced on Fluffy. Looking through the tires (what else do you do to kill time) and noticed a new offering from Mastercraft. Figured it was a China rebrand but the guy at the counter told me they are made in the USA. Les Schwab is usually pretty good about what they carry since the stand behind their warranties. Anybody know anything about Mastercraft?
