When the split rims were replaced on my '64 Overlander, the replacement wheels were standard black steel wheels having the following specifications:
- 2,600 pounds load capacity
- 15" x 6" with zero offset
- 6 lugs on 5.5" center
- 4.245" center bore
I believe that these same specifications apply to most Airstream and Argosy travel trailers from about
1960 to present. There are a variety of sources for new wheels including your local tire dealer, livestock trailer dealers, utility trailer dealers, RV dealers, as well as on-line retailers. I would suggest avoiding wheels from a salvage yard as the weight rating is an unknown as is the past history of the wheel . . . and in most cases the center bore is going to be too small to properly fit the Airstream.
Good luck with your coach!
