Tire replacement for TT's?????

Need some help re. when to replace tires on a TT?

I've looked through the forum threads on tires and came away shaking my head and believing the issue needs conflict resolution counseling immediately . . .

I have a 2006, 28' Classic. It's been stored outside from the beginning, a year plus in Indianna and another year plus out here in the So Cal. sun. Tires treads look okay and the tires don't appear to be dried out. We're driving to Bozeman and sure don't want a blow out, if it can be helped, in the middle of the Utah badlands.

So here's my question: Anyone out there have a magic formula to tell when to replace tires?

A- 5 years
B- when you notice weather checking on the tread or sidewall
C- when the tread depth reaches 4/32" or less.

agree with o'63s list....

with these additions.

-if on regular INSPECTION the tire shows signs of grossly abnormal wear or defects.

-if the tires have had overloading issues (like running with a flat tire removed)

-if tires experience KNOWN curb/pothole impacts that could have resulted in belt/wall damage

-and so on, it may be wise to replace them sooner.

lsstly an intangible.. IF for any reason you no longer have confidence in a give tire or set...

replacement may soothe yer mind and travel thinking.

Replace when...

Add:
D. Any small buble appears any where on either sidewall.
E. The tread area becomes;
1. Lumpy.
2. Rounded, not kinda flat like the other tires or the tires on your
tv.
