Tire Pressure Sensor???

I am thinking of purchasing a tire pressure sensor for our AS. I saw a nice article in the latest Trailer Life and was wondering if anyone else has tried one of these.

I have the Dill TPMS...I like it because the sensors are the same as OEM systems (mount inside the wheel eliminating theft potential) and provide both pressure and temperature. I've had mine for about a year now (and a bunch of trips) and it's an excellent system.

Do a search around here, have been some discussions: TPMS, etc.

Here's one.

The internal-mount ones look "better" to me at this point.

They are worth every penny you spend on them. We've had PressurePros on our Bambi Since Dec07.

We have to agree that the PressurePros or equal are worth every dime. We purchased ours Aug 3, 2005 and they still work off the original batteries! Combined with Centramatics that keep your wheels balanced you have not a worry in the world with your running gear.

We have the Doran system and are very satisfied. Notified me of a TV tire failure. Never felt it. Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems, School Bus Safety and LED lights from Doran

I have them, and when the street side rear tire decided to lose its tread on north bound I-30 in Texarkana, the system's alarm sounded and we could see the tire's pressure dropping rapidly. Fortunately, the tire didn't blow and since we were right at an off ramp we drove up the ramp to the Discount Tire store on the south bound side. When we got there a large piece of tread was missing and the tire was flat.

No damage was done to the trailer.

I have Airstream mud flaps on the trailer and they are pretty rigid. I do not know if having these helped prevent damage to the Airstream.

The tire pressure sensing system worked perfectly.
