Tire Build Code
Somewhere I read a post that deciphered the codes to determine when a tire was built. I recently purchased a 2009 25' Int. that has has GYM tires and I don't know how old they are. I did a search and can't find the post. Any help appreciated.
The manufacture date of tires are on the sidewall usually in an oval outline. The date consists of the week and year. for instance 3911 would mean that the tire was manufactures in the 39th week of 2011.

You are fine a 5-6 years is the normal recommended replacement cycle.Any longer and you are gambling.Tires dry rot from the inside out normally there are no visible signs(I deal in vintage exotic cars Lamborghini,Ferrari etc).

If the trailer has been in covered storage you should be ok. If it has been outside since new I would change the tires just to be safe and buy a tire monitoring system either way. My GYMs were cracking on the outside after 2 years stored outside with tire covers. The Florida sun is brutal on tires when in direct sunlight. Our newest AS is stored in the garage and we will change tires based on tread depth or 5 years whichever comes first. Have a safe and fun trip.
