Your idea sounds similar to Fox News; "Air and balanced reporting".

Some years ago , a J.B. Hunt driver, did let air out of his tractor trailer tires so he could get across the scales. . Not talking bad about truck drivers mind you. Toby

OK, we have removed thus far....
Pounds of air
Pounds of water
Pounds of electricity
Pounds-feet of lug nut tourqu (sp?)
and installed Helium
in the tires
in an envelope in the cabin or by sealing the cabin all together....

But we still have to worry about galvanic corrosion.......

But what about a magnesium frame??

Also, what does a BTU weigh?? I have always heard Air Conditioning measured in tons. Man think of the weight savings by getting rid of that monster weight sitting up there!!!!

A Btu weighs 2.666 ounces.

Unfortunately, every so often we have to learn to tolerate "hot air."

At the present time, two varieties of hot air, "surround us."

One is the Heinz variety and the other is the Texas variety.

The problem is not so much with the Texas variety, since it's only one or two.

The real problem is with the Heinz variety, since they claim 57 of them, "in writing no less."

Ah..........election years, what would we do without them?

What I find works best is galvenized roofing nails - less likely to rust - I would think the rust combined with hot air would add too much weight - there for throwing off my original intention of fine tuning the balance.

In order to complete my enthalpy calculations, I need to know the temperature of the 'hot air' you are talking about. If a Btu weighs 2.67 oz, and the heat capacity of air is 0.25 Btu/lb F, I cannot estimate the weight of the hot air unless I know the specified temperature.
How is Corky doing with his calculations? Does he need more biscuit input?
