Wow Nicki that sure is a blow out but at least the trailer looks like it didn't sustain any damage.

Marathons. We lost our hubcap as well. We might need to recalibrate the tpms since it did not tell us the tire had blown....

We are waiting on road side assistance to remove tire and replace it ... And check to see of there is any unseen damage but it looks ok so far.

That's not completely true...we have a bad tpms sensor and this tire had it...there's a new one sitting in our mailbox (irony of ironies)!

Glad everyone is okay!

How old was the tire? What daytime temperatures have you been running in recently?

You know...we didn't know any better when we got them...perhaps when it's time to replace them we go to another brand and back to bias as well *shrug*

The tire is less than a year old but had almost 25000 miles in them. Day time temp was less than 85.

... everyone has a preference. I did not mean to start a tire flame thread, sorry if it goes that way.

I have found the Doran 360 needs to be re-programmed every once in a while or it starts giving bad readings. The software is unstable over time. If the sensors are screwed down too tightly, they can be a problem.

More pictures and yes the tread had wrapped around the axle .... Which is probably why the skin did not get damaged....
