We are about to get a set of Pressure Pros after our three blow-out debacle of last spring. Are there any tips on where to buy, how to install, whether or not to include the TV tires, etc.?

MT,

You can get them from Overlander 68. I would do all of your tires on the trailer and TV if you are going to make the investment. Installation is very simple ad straight forward.

Brian, I think your Suburban has TPM already installed. When the pressure in one tire drops 12 psi or more below the others, a funny-looking yellow half-tire with an exclamation point lights up. You can push the little "i" button on the dash or steering wheel, and scroll through the menu usung the little button with the white squares on it to access the info. It should show actual pressures on all 4 wheels, the spare does not have a sensor.

Moosetags...it's actually "68 Overlander" (not "Overlander 86") who sells the PressurePro Sensor systems...We got ours from him not too long ago...I called and had them within a week. Our Tacoma has a factory sensor system so we didn't order them for the truck but if it didn't have it already, we would have gotten or the truck as well. We like them very much so afar...

We have not had any reports to date of a stolen sensor. The Lock-nuts will keep the honest people away and do work but probably only about 50% of people buy them.

stolen Pressure Pros

You can buy locks for the Pressure Pro System also for a small cost. I usually leave it up to the customer if they want them. About half my sales have included locks with the order. I was told that some were stolen on the New Foundland Caravan by kids that thought they were novelities and tossed them into the ocean nearby. AirstreamHobo

Pressure Pro Source

Brian,

I bought mine (after reading about your eventful trip) at the International in Perry last June. This was the dealer PressurePro Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS Pressure Pro

Installation was very easy. Finding a place in the truck for the panel was harder. I finally ended up buying the visor clips. It works up there very well. One thing I discovered on our trip last October was when you do the morning pressure check and find a tire needing air, unplug the monitor panel before you remove the pressure sensor from the tire. If you don't, you have to reset the whole thing, as it will show no sensor for that tire.

I remove my sensors when Daisy is going to sit for more than two weeks. They will be back on next week as we head up to the Can Opener. See you there. Oh, and so far no thievery. You really can't see them on the trailer wheels unless you look closely, and I didn't put them on the truck, but might some day.

Randy
