Spare tire crank

Hi! I had new tires installed recently on my 2002 Land Yacht. The grease monkey turned the the cranking mecanism for the spare tire the wrong way. The cranking sytem is now totally jammed. I need a new assembly, the system is sealed and cannot be opened. The apparatus is operated from the rear luggage compartment and is about 16 inches long - center to center - between the nut on top and the tube that goes down with the braket under the Moho.

Anybody can help me as to where I can get this cranking system?

Hi,

I checked a few used motorhomes this PM at two dealership. They all seem to have a different system to hoist the tire, or just a rack, or no spare tire at all! I need my spare as I will be driving in Mexico this winter. So I will contact Airstream at J/C. Thanks for the tip!

The assembly has no brand and no number on it so I cannot find it on the Net...

Hi, I got a part number from Airstream Customer Service. I have to order it trough an Airstream dealer. I have sent queries to get a price from a dealer in Canada and one in Vermont. It may be quite cheaper if they can ship the part to a UPS Store near the border, so I pick it up. UPS is charging 30 to 50 $ fee just to collect the taxes! Outrageous!

I will send the bill to the tire dealer .
