RV Today visits Goodyear
On a short segment presented by RV Today, they stopped at the Goodyear test facility and talked about RV tires. The Goodyear representative noted that from their random testing, 34% of motorhomes are running on an overloaded tire(s). Of those 34 %, 80% were overloaded due to insufficient air pressure.
They also spoke about weighing each wheel separately to determine axle loads. They demonstrated with scales on a tandem axle trailer, how the axle load shifts if the trailer is not pulled in a level state.
It will be repeated several times this week on RFD TV.
