Michelin LT275/65R18 LRE

Drive a 2WD Tundra. Just put on a set of Michelin LTX M/S 2's at Costco. The model number is LT275/65R18 LRE. The sales guy, who had worked at RV dealerships for many years, said this model has stronger sidewalls than their standard truck road tire which makes these better for towing. We've always had very good luck with both Michelin and Costco.

I second that. MS/2's E rated are the best I have found and with Centramatics, they last up to 100k.

I have 8 ply high speed tires on my 1978 they carry 50 psi and Andy at CanAM commented on me having really good tires on the AS. Have 10 ply on my TV. they seem to stand up to rough roads and the odd pothole.
I also have had many ASers tell me that the new AS are not standing up like the older ones. I did about 7500 miles last summer and had no problems.

Thank you, gang, for the great info and comments. Wish I could go with the Centramatics right now, but they have to wait.

However, my lovely TV "Beast" will be sporting M/S2s real soon! I feel pretty confident in getting them that they'll be perfect with the 2015 Classic.

What a sweet resource this forum is. Though I pore over it often, I've been shy about posting. I really appreciate the support! I AS, and the forums!

Be sure to make a decision about the spare. On the truck it needn't be a premium brand.

New Tires on TV

Replaced mine on my TV in past few months...Michelin LTX M/S2 LT265-R70. The issue for me, in spite of lots of tread on the originals even after 70,000 plus miles, was the tire manufacturing date. And, pulling a trailer, I wanted to have the most safe conditions possible. Old tires hollar for troubles.

Change your order, I think AS will accept a last minute tire and wheel change without issues. We ordered our 2015 30' FC with the Sendel wheels and 16" Michelins right from the factory. No issues at all. This is the same set up AS does for the Eddie Baur. The factory actually buys them both already mounted from a local Michelin dealer, not from the Michelin factory. I called and asked a number of questions, the Customer Service person did not know and then at 7:00PM at night I received a call from an engineer at the factory who went into great detail on 16" etc and I asked how they buy them and he told me. Great people to deal with.

Scooter241... :QUOTE: "When I do get new tires, though, what to get? The 2015 Classic comes with Michelin 225/75R x 16 E tires. These seem great. What would be the best truck tire for my 2004 F-250, assuming those trailer tires? Michelin LTX M/S2s? LTX A/T2s? Pros and cons? Any other suggested matches?
Any other comments, information, data, advice, warnings, suggestions or salutations would be appreciated, whether about the tire choice or the 2015 Classic."QUOTE:

The 16" Michelins and SenDel wheels are now standard on the 2015 model year 31' Classic (ought to get something useful for the nearly $25,000 increase in list price in one year).

When buying tires at a store, verify the date code before installation. I would suggest a pass on any over a year old (except in an emergency).
