Is the Titan tire a radial or biased? I know Titans as U.S. made. OUr 1959 Caravanner came with 205X75X15 Load C. They are 5 years old and I want radials. Then I would take the Marathons Load D off of our Globe Trotter and put them on the Caravanner. Then if the Titan's are radial, put the Load E on the GT

Interesting that the Bias Metric tire is almost an inch taller than the "same size" metric radial:
For the 225/75 15 the bias ply is 29.2" in diameter and 8.6" wide
For the 225/75 15 radial tire it's only 28.4" in diameter but 8.8" wide.
The /75 is supposed to refer to the ratio of width vs height. For the radial it's pretty close to the stated 75%. The bias ply is more of an 80 series tire (82.6%).
Radial contruction lends itself to a low profile tire design. The bulge that's a signature feature of radial tires means the loaded radius will be even less than the same diameter bias ply. The Titan bias ply is considerably closer to the 7.00-15 that was original equipment on the older trailers.
