Peeling Paint on steel rims

I have a used 99 safari and am noticing that the grey paint covering the tire rims is pealing off. there is a black primer underneath. I found out that only auto paint will do but wondering if anyone has painted the stock steel rims. http://www.airforums.com/forums/imag...lies/blush.gif

Give this a try, have used it on several cars and the receiver on the

tow vehicle.

I agree 100 percent. Powder coating is the way to go. VERY tough and durable, and nice-looking, too. Just don't let the folks at the tire shop hang tire weights on the edge of the rim and then scrape them off with the edge of their tire tool. Don't ask me how I know this (my beautiful racing wheels! ).
