Passing along something I read
Cruising my Facebook stuff this morning, I read this post by someone claiming to have 2 Endurance "blowouts" on 2 tires with less than 1000 miles.
This is the first blowout claim I have heard of. Im not sure, but the image she posted looks like impact damage to me. Maybe someone can chime in on this.

Reviewing the posters history, she reports having 3 blowouts this year, with very few miles traveled.
Im skeptical, , to say the least.
She reports less than 1000 miles travelled since May.
We will see of the flood gates open!

There's so many variables it's impossible to narrow it down to the tire, unless it happens to you and you have all the facts. Road condition, inflation, speed, driving skill, (does she run over objects?). Did a truck just drop a box of screws in the road?
The data over a long period of time with many users will give you a trend. "1000 drivers with GYM had 65 blowouts while the same number of drivers using GYE had 20 blowouts." Then you can make an informed conclusion.

My resent visit to Jackson Center I took AS up on their offer to upgrade to 16" Michelins. My Goodyear Endurance tires had 14,700 miles and only 5/32 tread left after running them at max psi of 80 for about a year. I agree that since the factory went to the Goodyear Endurance tire blowout complaints have diminished. However, I still wanted more comfort room running down the highway. I think my decision was good, I now run 72 psi on Load range E and found a better pull leaving Ohio. I can't quantify the value yet, but previously had to have 9 popped rivets replaced while running 80 psi on the Endurance tire during my visit to Ohio. We will see.

My 16” michelins now have 24,000 miles show very little wear..70 air..on a 13 31’ Classic...7800 on the axles

The post was posted on a number Facebook pages. Here is a photo from those posts of one of the tires that blow out. Appears to me to be side wall damage from road trash or a real heavy curb hit.
Does not appear to me that the brand or type of tire had anything to do with this situation - as much as some folks would like to suggest it did

There is damage to the exterior of the side wall just above the "G" in the photo. No tire is immune from road hazards.
If there were problems internally there would be no external damage to the side wall skin.

This is a good example of the problem with using the term "blowout" in place of "failure". As I covered in THIS post tires fail for a variety of reasons. Road hazard is one reason for a tire failure but has nothing to do with the tire being "Defective.
The fact that the driver hit the tire sidewall with something and the object could have damaged multiple tires in a single incident with failure occurring hours or even days later has nothing to do with the brand of tire.
An experienced tire failure expert could probably provide a better answer if the tire was made available for close inspection.

Courious what the load capacity of your ST Endurance tires was at 80 vs the 16" Michelin LT tires at 72 psi

However the term blown, blow out all have reference to explosions. And who doesn't get excited about hearing of an explosion? Rather dramatic wouldn't you agree?

Rethinking my opinion
When I saw this on FB, I immediately thought that this tire was curbed, due to the rub marks on the side tread. During this posting in Air forums, I zoomed in on the pic and realized that the inside of the wheel was on the damaged side! In most cases when a tire is curbed, it occurs on the outside of the wheel. The questions that arise now are, what caused the rub marks on the inside of the tire and could this possibly be a recurring event for this Airstreamer?

In those cases it would seem it would be of large sizes and would be a known issue to this driver. Unless ignorance and or oblivion is part of the equation?

What was your GVW on your AS?? The tire pressure recommended on the Endurance tire charts likely was not recommended at 80PSI I would guess for your weight??....that's the max pressure stamped on the tire...that would likely account for the rivet problems if you were not following the chart. Follow the manufacturer chart for the weights on your trailer. I lost a couple rivits and a couple screws initially when I first got my GYE's also, because the dealer inflated to 70PSI; after weighing, I was surprised to find the recommended psi was 45-50 psi...big difference now running at recommended pressures!
