The consensus seems to be the Michelin Defender. I ran them on my truck and they were great. I do not have them on my trailer.

Only want to buy once!!!!

I do not believe there is such a tire.

If I were to advise what tire to buy, get one that the load rating is 125+ % or more of the actual towed load. Since nearly every trailer is loaded unequally, use the tire that has the highest load as base point.

Do you know what your actual load when towing???

I just bought 4 but have only taken one trip of 600 miles. I am going to Texas next week though so I will know more then. I like them so far. My loading is light at about 1,250 lbs/tire.

We just ran our four Michelin LTX 16s for 9,340 miles to California and back. They never lost a lb. of pressure the whole trip. We have our TPMS running all the time. I watched both pressure and temperature during the trip. Solid as a rock. Highly recommended.
