New Tires for Vintage Bambi II

We have a 2004 Ford Expedition & a 1964 Bambi II trailer. We are in the market for new tires for both the vehicle & trailer. We were told that the Michelin LTX M/S was an excellent choice for our vehicle. Are these the best tires for this vehicle? Are there better tires out there?
Right now we have 14 in. non-radial tires on the trailer. What are the best tires for a vintage Bambi II?
Thank you.

I'd get rid of the 14 inch wheels and tires. Go with 15 inch. I use the Michelins at 235 x 75 x15. BUT....on my ex 66 Caravel they would not fit the wheel well. I had to go with 225x65x15. I also use 700x15 bias on others with no trouble for over 10 years using bias. The extra ground clearance you get with the 15 inch wheels and bigger tires will be something you will like.

I have Goodyear Marathons (gasp) ST215/75R14 C range radials on my Bambi II. I don't think a 15" would fit, as the 14" is VERY close. I drove it about 2000 miles so far & have had no issues. There are a million opinions here, but you have to choose what works for you. My Bambi II has skidsters under it in case I get a flat, so they'll catch the trailer from bottoming out (not a bad idea!) What is your number of your Bambi II? I have #3 and PaBambi has #2.....any chances you have #1 or #4??

I think the size of the tires fits the size of the trailer.. IMHO
