Mounting Tires "Backward"

I'm in the shopping phase for a set of Michelin LT225/75R16/E LTX M/S2 tires.

I've noticed that for the sellers that carry that model, with the outlined white letters, they are selling a set of four for about $100 less, than the black sidewall. I never liked looking at the white letters. But I like saving $100. In earlier years, on my trucks, I would just have them turn the tire around before they mounted them.

Any issues with doing that for these tires in this application?

Why would this be a problem?

I did it. Did not have a problem. On the next set I mounted them with the letters out and like them better.

Some tread patterns are sold as unidirectional, but even so you can get the black side out by switching sides on the trailer.

The LTX Michelins are not directional. Mount them either way. I like the black side out. Pat

There are directional tires in the market place. Those tires will usually have an arrow on them indicating the direction of forward rotation. All other tires will not have an arrow.
