All of the tires being recalled are 20s and 18s, so not likely ones used on trailers or motorhomes, but they might be on a number of tow vehicles.

I say good news! I have this size, but need to check the date codes, it says they'll replace them for free. Who can say no to $1,000 in free tires

Angry Just my luck

I checked the Michelin site and the tires on my F150 that were installed last month are on their list. There were about 2,500 tires affected (apparently they had a small hole in them) in the time period they list but they will replace any that have the appropriate DOT codes even if they were not part of the 2,500. Just being safe is my guess. They do not have the replacement tires yet and won't until late next week.

Hi again from AZ. . . I don't know how good that is, Mine only had 4500 miles on them, Discount Tire won't do anything until I bring them MY letter from Michelin, and of course I haven't seen same. More PITA than not if you ask me. Regards, Craig

============

GREENVILLE, S.C., July 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Michelin North America, Inc. today announced a voluntary safety recall of approximately 100,000 tires in order to retrieve an estimated 2,500 tires – about 2.5 percent of the recalled population – that could have partial or full sidewall perforations that could cause them to experience loss of air pressure.

If your tires were not registered with Michelin at the time of installation, you probably would not receive a recall notice. Thus, if one has the appropriate models in 18" to 20" sizes on any vehicle, they should double check the date code on their own to be sure the installed tires are not affected by the recall.

Sorry, I'm changing my mind, not good news. (Sorry Ramblin). I thought these might be for older tires, but it seems they only go back to 2012. Mine are 2009 and I would LOVE to get a new free set, but they are not impacted.

The recall goes back to mid 2012. Lets mine out as they were produced early 2012.

My M/S-2 18's on my TV are 5 years old and have over 50k on them but still have at least 20-30k left thanks to my Centrmatics and rotation. Love 'em.
