A $1 or less metal valve stem purchased in bulk versus a nearly no cost rubber stem on a $60,000+ trailer. And the perceived high quality components marketing claims are based upon which parts?
I installed the Dill TPMS #1506 - 453 valve stems with the #1900 crystal monitor system. It provides an internal to the tire sender with a metal valve stem. I installed the system on both the new 15" SenDel T03-56545T wheels with Michelin LTX (P) 235/75R15 XL tires for the 23D and the SenDel T03-66655T 16" wheels and Michelin LT225/75R16/E LTX M/S2 tires for our Classic.
Since my truck runs 80 psi on the rear tires, all the tires came with metal stems.
I would think that the 2015 and later Classics and the Eddie Bauer 27FB that come with the SenDel T03-66655T 16" wheels and Michelin LT225/75R16/E LTX M/S2 tires set to run at 80 psi would have metal stems.
Swapping out to metal tire stems before the heat of the Southwest summer would be prudent.
