Thanks! I just ordered the same ones from Amazon based on your recommendation!

Valve stem update

I checked with AS support and they also said get the TR416's. So I did. The washer is slightly too large to fit down into the well for the valve stem.

VS-902WP-1 is the one that works for mine. My AS is a 2017 FC manufactured in late 2016. I guess specs on the wheel might have changed from the supplier.

The stem comes with an extension (shown) but is not needed.

Any tire that uses more than 35lbs. air should have uncovered metal stems IMO. All my rolling stock uses uncovered metal stems regardless of pressure used or there usage.

Got mine so I can install a TPMS. I wish AS would just go with metal stems and not make the owners go thru the hassle of researching replacements and getting them installed. On a $60K+ trailer you'd think AS would spend a few extra bucks for metal stems

Okay, now that we have metal stems, I looked into a way of installing them myself.
There's some pretty clever ideas on YouTube, usually involving a floor jack and a ratchet strap.

My 2018 Flying Cloud has the 15" Sendel T02 wheels and GYE Tires. I'm adding TPMS, and also wanted to know compatible metal valve stem for this wheel. I ran across the eTrailer website, and their Q&A section answered this very question. They recommend the Americana Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem 1 1/4" long part number AM20906. I'm sure there are other valve stems that will work, but this is the recommendation from one of the Sendel wheel distributors.

I changed mine myself. I used a manual tire changer from Harbor Freight to break the beads.

They have a bead breaker only for about $50.
Did you escape dinging the rims when using the tire changer?

Growing up on a farm, my dad just drove over the tire with the tractor. Bead gave up.

I use that bead breaker to break the beads on my fancy chromed motorcycle wheels. Never scarred one up.

Metal Valve Stem on Endurance Tires

Very simple. Just have to support the trailer A-frame with something solid, like a sturdy jackstand or two, and away you go. I’ll bet the gadget doesn’t weigh much either.

Sadly, he’s in Queensland, Australia, and does not seem to have a US sales channel. Darn it!

I’d bet just using a stand and my jack foot could do it...or my bottle jack under the hitch on my hooked-up truck?

More than one redneck way to do it, and lord knows I’m qualified...[emoji3] Easier than beating it with a BFH and risking dinging the rim, huh?

Or, of course, wait for AAA to arrive...
