Yes, replace soon. Six years old is old for a tire.

And before you leave for home, check the pressure. If the trailer has been sitting all winter, it wouldn't surprise me that you may be as much as 10 lb under inflated. I've seen folks lose tires in 10 ft of travel when pulling into or out of a campsite due to under inflation. As a matter of fact I saw one guy attempt a back in and rolled one of his tandem tires off a wheel. He stopped put on the spare and proceeded to roll that tire off the wheel. He never thought about checking the inflation of the spare.

Too many horror stories about GYM's including mine; get a set of Michelin LT's ASAP and don't worry. They will go 100k on a trailer, or run out of the 6 years, I'd bet money on it.

I do plan at some point to upgrade to the LT tires. In talking to the parts guy at my AS dealer he felt that the biggest problem was lack of tire maintenance. I am anal about air pressure and visual inspection. My Cloud is essentially still brand new and have already spent too much upgrading this and that so I would like to get a few miles on my GYM's.
