Hoping to get some suggestions on a course of action for a tire that's leaking on our 2016 Classic we picked up in December. We brought it back from Wisconsin and it went straight into storage. Probably should set the stage as well, we're newbies to all of this.

We've been "visiting" at least each weekend and a few weeks ago my wife noticed one of the tires (front, left) was looking low. Check the PSI at 16.5 versus the 80 it's supposed to be at. Used my tire inflator to bring it back up. A week later it was down about 10PSI. Inflated again. This weekend it was completely flat. Pumped it back up but wondering what to do at this point.

Because it's gone completely flat, is the tire shot?
I don't see any reason for the loss of air. Could be something under the tire that I can't see. Could hitch up and roll it so I could check.
Should I just remove it and take it to a tire shop and have it checked out?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I think your tire should be fine once it gets fixed. Last month I had a tire go flat on my car while it was parked in the garage. I took the tire to a tire shop and they patched a puncture and told me it should be fine. So far so good.

There are a few possibilities for what is wrong with your tire. I can think of
1) puncture
2) Bad seal of tire to rim
3) defective valve stem
4) leaking core in valve stem.

#4 can be fixed by a low-skilled do-it-yourselfer like me, with a cheap little tool from an auto repair shop. Anything else I would take it to a shop. If you want to investigate further yourself, you could re-inflate it and put some soapy water on the valve stem to see if you get bubbles there. That might locate the problem.

I would do what my grandpa and my dad would do, take the tire off and get it fixed.

take the tire AND wheel off and head for discount tire. Call Airstream ahead of time. If you notify them before the work there is a good chance they will reimburse you under warranty.

I had a tire on my brand new f150 that kept losing air. 3 attempts at discount tire didn't resolve it. I put a new tire on and it's been perfect. I still have no idea why....

Regardless it would be a good idea to get the weight off the one good tire...
