You'll love the gye's. I do and have 15-20k or so on them. New this time last year. For me it was a hard decision as i was heading for the nokians. Lots around eugene,main!y on horse and utility trailers. In the end went with the gye's last minute decision as i was POSITIVE they would fit in the spare rack and the nok's were slightly larger dia. I also thought the meatier looking nok's would be better...the gye's looked a bit weanie tread wise. But i now understand that that tread design (gye) runs cooler.

So know the nokians are just another option with pretty much the the same rating spec.

GoodYear Endurance here, as well...have tried many tire brands through time, and these have been the best....we are very pleased with them...

I am a 4 year replacer. The new endurance tires have been great. Continue with the lable tire pressures. Tire max pressures have increases.

I thought Nokians were winter tires. Which tire are people using?

Most motor home users advise replacing tires every 5 years no matter what. I plan on doing the same with my AS.

I will finishing my 6th year on my Michelin 16" LT's this July. I seriously am considering replacement this coming year. I'm trying to contemplate what tire to replace them with. Rebates on the Michelin's got them to $140 each when I bought them. Tires are much more expensive now. One side of me says go Michelin again, but the frugal side asks the questions as to whether it has to be a Michelin. I'll just have to do the shopping and see.

Go to Tire Rack, I got my Michelins cheaper than anywhere else. Arrived in 2 days and I got a $70 Visa card.

Now made in TN. I had that impression but re winter orientation, but after researching things think they are a great all around tire, simply breaking into the US market and shaking a Scandinavian reputation. I like them as they are an LT and not an ST tire, but in the end and for my TT weight, the ST was also a fine fit...keeping it generally under 65. Know your tire load and go from there. Again these are 235 and the fit may have been a bit tight in the tire hange...that in light of a last minute install decision I decided to go with the GYE, which I new fit. If I had been ahead of schedule I'd be running Nok's right now. But to be clear, IMO this is splitting hairs, and I would be satisfied with either...assuming the noks fit as described.

For those looking at LT tires, specifically Michelin Defender MS/2 , look at the Tire Rack. I found them to be the best price, free shipping and got a $70 cash card to boot. I got my tires in 2 days. I used them once before and highly recommend Tire Rack.

I have the mich defs ms2 on the TV as they were available in a LT spec when I swapped out the 10's ( Michelin Defender LTX M/S, 245/55R19 103H (1929 lbs) for the Michelin Defender LTX M/S, 245/65R17 107T SL (2149 lbs). Love them!

However the Mich Defs were not available in an LT when replacing the GYM’s which is why everyone was swapping their 15” rims for 16” rims to go with an LT tire (my spec LTX 225/75R16 115/112R. I have a Bambi and expect that others with a dual axel and a different load per tire need may be able to find the mich Def in an LT in their size.

there are numerous other threads that address swapping rim size to get a better load rating with a mich LT tire. However with the presence of Nokians and now GYE's the need to buy new rims to accommodate the larger (lt) rated tire seems to me to have subsided. I simply didn't see a reason to buy larger rims

However, there are other 15" LT's in other brands, but not E rated, that's why many went to 16" wheels.

If you choose not to replace them now, and end up having a blowout which causes some damage [or worse], will you kick yourself for not spending the money to minimize your risks?

Personally I would replace them ASAP.

Based on this thread, I am going to replace the tires on our 2017 27' FB FC. We have put only 10k miles on them and only two seasons, but we are going on a long trip to Florida in March and starting in snow locally. I thought about maybe trying to get another summer out of them, but then I found myself thinking of our security and the chances of a blow-out. I came down on saying "why take the risk for the relatively small amount of money to have peace of mind".

Don't forget to also get a TPMS; that will help your "peace of mind" with your new tires!

Pappy19...totally agree. I needed the E's but suspect that some duals may not.

To also agree with others...tires are cheap, especially if you only need 3...i also replaced the spare.

I have a 2013 -27 FB ( 6yr.old in May) with about 20k + miles on and they are going to be replaced next month. Going with Goodyear Endurance tires 15 inch

I have not had an issue with my OEM tires. Feeling very fortunate about that.

Up here in good old Canada they will be installed for $1020 taxes included Canadian Funds.

Over 100,000 miles in Alaska, Canada, many NPs and trails, Newfoundland and boondocking...never any tire trouble of any kind. Michelins, but even more important EARLY REPLACEMENT and always check the manufacture date EVEN IF THEY ARE “NEW”.
