Iggy Needs New Sneakers

Based on tread depth--3 - 4/32--our AS, aka IGGY, needs new tires. Right now I have Maxxis 8008's and have been really happy with them. It's been a few years since I bought them, so before I buy another set, I thought I'd see if any of you out there have had particularly good or particularly bad experience with this brand. I'm planning on 225/75 15's 8ply rated.

Any comments? Thanks for your help.

Paul

In a 15" tire I would check out the Good Year Endurance or the Michelin LTX (XL load range). These seem to be the most popular in recent history and easily found at most tire dealers. Carlisle would be another choice if your concerned about price. They are China tires but supposedly have been upgraded.
I am not familiar with the Maxxis tire brand but if you have been happy maybe you should seek out another set of them. If your doing any amount of traveling I would stay away from any and all cheap Chinese trailer tires.
If you decide to upgrade to a 16" rim about any name brand LT tire with a highway tread (HT designation) would do the trick.

Installed last season, they are very round, very well built, balance well, E rated and reasonably priced. 👍

A little over 10000 miles on my Goodyear Endurance tires. Never need to add air, look almost new.
