Help tires, tires, tires.

OK here we go again."You get used to hanging,if you hang long enough".My Squarestream need new tires, my white wall Tow Masters are almost as old as I am, they are so old they are marked H78-15ST.But I still pull with them a lot with no problems.
I am looking at the below listed tires in ST225/75R15s
(1) Cooper Custom Trailer Plus at $158 to $182 each USA MADE I THINK.
(2) Maxxis at $112.each
(3) Tow Masters at $86.each
I would like to hear what anyone has to say about the above tires that is UP TO DATE about them( I have read all the thread about tires back to 2004) since now Maxxis and Tow Master are made overseas.
Please NO talk about Marathons I have read all the I want about them.There not on MY list thank you.

I would recommend the Maxxis tires, I have heard more good about them than I have about the Tow Masters.

I put Maxxis on my trailer and so far am very happy with them.

I picked Maxxis because of what I call a "Tie down belt" They have a belt that goes from under the tread to partway down the sidewall.

I bought the Maxxis just about a month ago for about the same price you listed here. Made in Thailand (NOT CHINA. I'm have a bad China day today. We bought a Magnavox 37" LCD TV less than two years ago. It crapped out yesterday. $550 to repair. It'll be a cold day in....). But I digress.

The Maxxis are supposed to be a good tire in general. One thing the tire guy told me was that he puts them on a lot of commercial trailers and has had zero problems with them (read: returns because of failures). He also said that are a better tire for RV's because they tend to "sit" a lot, as opposed to daily use vehicles.

All that said, I've only owned them a month, so I have practically no experience with them. There are a lot of folks here on the forum that have good things to say about them. Hope I will be too in a few years.

I put Maxxis UE-168's on my 34 foot triple axle Avion about 15 months ago. I've towed it probably 4500 miles on them now at speeds up to 80mph and have had no problems at all. Mine are 235/75-15 with a weight rating of something like 2150lbs per wheel. I think they are a good tire. They still look like new. I do keep covers on them when the RV is parked....

Best bet is to get some new 16" wheels and run BF Goodrich Commercial T/A's. But barring that, the UE-168's are a good 15" tire. They are both LT and ST rated; says both right on the sidewall. They're a commercial truck tire. Works for me.

I thing anything is better than Marathon
I am leaning toward the Maxxis but would like to know more about the COOPER CUSTOM TRAILER PLUS tire. It is said it is a 100 mph + rated tire not 65 mph rating but cost at least $46 per tire more. But I think it is made in the good old USA. I have yet to find anyone that is useing them to check this info out.

Yep the old Squarestream is going to miss not having white walls.Sorry I still think it looks good in white.

No comparison.. I have the Maxxis 225-75-15 on my 34 footer and will NEVER again have a Marathon tire, there's no comparison.
