Greeenball tires

Has anyone put the green all tow master tires on . I have allways used light truck, but since they have lowered the wt rating on the tires I have to change. I still have the 15 in wheels. I have visited all the local tire stores and there are very few options in the 15s.

Tire talk is a subject of great contention on the Forums. My personal experience with Carlisle and Greenball (both imports) was poor with numerous catastrophic failures despite my obsessive/compulsive attention to my tires.

I ended up with GYM's which are routinely trashed on this forum yet have worked fine for me for three years and about 18000 miles so far.

So, it is tough to make a recommendation one way or the other. Kind of like choosing a religion...

Whatever you choose, I highly recommend a TPMS. Mine saved my bacon more than once.

Mike

For the trailor. With all the links about marathon failure at high temps andth fact that our trips are mostly out west. I am not sure about them.

My plan is to get 16' wheels and use Firestone TransForce HT 225/75R16 tires.

Could you be a little more definitive? What tire size do you currently have? Are you really looking for a tire already mounted?

Just a note: There are some alternatives that will work, but we need to get specific.

How about these?

Depending on the load you typically carry, I would also recommend these-

My previous trailer had 15" wheels. In June of 2012 I was able to get some 8-ply load range D tires for it through Dunlap & Kyle, a tire distributor in Batesville, MS.

Just getting new radial tires for the trailer improved its road manners tremendously.
It may be the difference in bias ply and radial tires, too.
Tightening the bearings 1/4 turn each on the curb side helped, too.
For some reason the bearings on the street side were snug, but the ones on the curb side were a little loose. Go figure.
