Looking for new tires.....

Saw these on a big cargo trailer. Curious to see if anyone has any experience

A quick Google returns prices of $300 with a hundred dollar rebate.

That's a LR-G tire. Waaay overkill, IMO. What is used on oilfield hotshot trailers.

Try this thread. The OP has many, many tens of thousands of miles on his tire choice he reminded me the other day as we looked over another local man's trailer:

There are other choices as well, but it's hard to beat the recommendation of those who travel more than 10,000-miles per year with their trailer in tow -- continent-wide and into remote places -- remember that others barely go over 200-miles from home a few weekends per year.

I recommend a search of those who do travel extensively (as with 2Air, who is an excellent source of any/all A/S info). AndyT at CAN AM has reported that MICHELIN LTX M/S has been a consistently good choice.

On other boards, those favoring LR-E tires are also in favor of MICHELIN XPS, BRIDGSTONE DURAVIS as well. I used YOKOHAMA RY-215 LR-D and was quite pleased in every aspect.

One should also have a TPMS system and Centramatic balancers as well, IMO.
