Goodyear Endurance ST Tires Made in USA

I register with RV Pro online and read today that Jayco is going to install made in the USA Goodyear Endurance ST tires on all their RVs. I couldn't find additional information on Goodyear website however, I'm going to keep an eye on this new tire because I don't really want to install a 16 inch wheel and tire combination if I don't have to. If anyone has additional information on this new tire, please share.

Are you following the current discussion on this thread: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f438...ml#post1850062

Seems there are several options out there for 15" wheels to replace the GYM's that are OC from Airstream....good reading and information.

Made in America, it's about time Goodyear! However, being somewhat of a doubting Thomas, I'll believe it when I see it.

Goodyear Endurance ST tires made in USA

I'm following that thread as well gypsydad however, the link you referenced is about General tires. Apparently Goodyear Endurance ST tires that are made here are a brand new design. They may not be out yet?

I have 14s wheels and do not want larger. Options are limited.

Good find subfan1. Possible leads about new Endurance line:

https://corporate.goodyear.com/en-US...haul-tire.html

https://www.goodyeartrucktires.com/p...sheet_2016.pdf

http://m.fleetowner.com/equipment/go...elivery-fleets

Here is the Jayco info:

https://rv-pro.com/news/jayco-will-b...can-made-tires

Click on the photo at the bottom and you can see the 3 tires have Endurance on them I think. Need to check on my laptop when we get back home. Zooming in on my iPad these are 16" IMO according to the stamping on the tires.

The article mentions that Jayco will be using these tires across their line of towable' s so I don't think they will install 16 inch wheels on all of their trailers. Could be wrong though.

The pics are of 16" tires and nothing in the other BB indicates a 15" or 14" is on the way. But the pics of the 16" tires on the Jayco strike me as a MUCH better looking ST than the GYMs - for whatever that's worth (and probably not much &#128563.

I'd be interested in learning more about these as they hit the market. An American made ST tire ... what took so long?!?!

Note: The tires in the Jayco photo are ST235/85x16. I don't think this size will fit on an Airstream.

Thanks.

The first poster at your link sounds like he works at the Alabama plant and mentions only 16" and 17".

The "Endurance RSA" and "Endurance WHA" are not the same tire as the new "Endurance ST".

Thanks, yes I realized that, and posted the links only as "Possible leads about new Endurance line," a whole new USA-made line apparently, which we now know (from the photo being discussed) does include ST tires, but maybe only in 16" IMO.

Thanks again, and welcome to the forum!

Thanks.

Any scuttlebutt in the industry about this new tire coming in ST 15" ? Not sure I would ever buy a Goodyear ST tire, after the bad press about the Marathon ST's . . . FWIW.

Thank you also for helping renderit gather all the 16" wheel/tire/etc. specs. in the 20-footer thread.

The post says the tires will have a speed rating of N.
Post also says the tire "N" rating is the highest speed rating of any ST tire. That's also not true. Maxxis 8008 STs E rated tires are "Q" rated. 99MPH. Industry standard speed of 65 MPH still officially applies no matter what ST tire you are running.

The article says "exclusive" relationship. Does this mean they will only be available at Jayco dealers? I expect so.

Since Thor now owns Jayco and of course Airstream, should be exclusive to Thor products. Maybe?
