Goodyear Endurance

We just finished our first trip with the new Good Year Endurance tires. 3200 miles round trip from VT to FL and back. They ran great, starting with snow/ice and then temps in the 90s. But then again, I only had one issue in 10 years with the old GYM. I do like the idea that GYE are Load Range: E* - Max Load 2,830 lbs - Speed Rating 87 mph - Max Inflation 80 psi.

Glad to hear that the first experience was positive. I am in the market for new tires. I think that I will give these a try. Sams Club has them for $120.

Not that I've been able to find. The other specifications are available (see link above).

Still liking the AT tread on the Nokians for snowy passes and boondocking FWIW.

I think I'm over ST tires. I'm still going with the Nokians.

Thanks for your report on the GYE tires. Couple of questions:
1. Do you use a TPMS?
If so:
a. what min and max tire pressures have you set it up for?
b what maximum temperature ?

Your input would be very helpful as for reasons beyond me I can't find any info on my present GYM....even when I go to a dealer. I'm beginning to believe that people just don't understand these things or for some reason....no body is willing to share their settings.

Thanks.....enjoy your travels.

Mike and Peter. My comment was mostly tongue in cheek. Seems like the tire grass is always greener in the other lane. However I was originally on track for the 16' mich's and had bounced bacm and forth on them for awhile. I eventually bailed on that track when the Nokian comments were positive and numerous.

Like I said before the GYE's tread seems to be on the weenie side compared to the Nokians. An now that (Peter's??) the recent post re the new Nokian plant in TN...that did it for me. Distribution and availability was my only concern.

I just swapped out the TV tires/rims from 245/55/19 103S Toyo's to 245/65/17 107T Mich Def which gave me another 220 lbs extra margin per tire.

They drive like a dream.

Once we get back om the road after some pet medical issues....Nokains will be the ticket

I ran them at 80 psi to give me the max load rate of 2830/tire. (I had a full load in the AS)

Goodyear

Every time I see the initials 'GYE' , I am thinking Goodyear 'Eagles'.
Bought a lot of 'Eagles' back in the day.

yeah I hope the new Goodyear 'ST' tires turn out to be a good heavy duty tire.
Have a good one,

I am sure Goodyear wants the public to think of Eagles as well.
